Superintendent's Message

January 2012

Dear Harborfields’ Residents,

I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate the school community for a successful first part of the 2011-2012 school year. In my role as acting superintendent, it has been an honor for me to visit our schools and observe the accomplishments, talents, and hard work of our students. Our students are led and supported by a dedicated teaching staff, who are among the best and brightest on Long Island. I appreciate their ongoing commitment to Harborfields.

With the beginning of 2012, the 2012-2013 budget process will officially commence.  The development of the budget, including how the new Tax Levy Cap will impact our district, will be addressed at future Board of Education meetings.

We encourage our residents to attend Board of Education meetings and Budget Work sessions.  We look forward to your input and sharing  ideas of how our district can meet its budget challenges while still providing the best programs and services for our students.  It is our community comprised of students, parents, and residents of Harborfields – who make this district the great place it is.

I would like to wish each of you a very safe, happy, and healthy New Year. As always, my door is open to you – please feel free to call me at 754-5320 x321 or email todaroD1@harborfieldscsd.org with any comments, questions, or suggestions you may have.

Sincerely,

Diana Todaro
Superintendent of Schools
